Attention 8th grade families:

The online magnet applications have opened and will run until noon on December 4, 2013. You can access the application at www.aacps.org/magnet.

User Name: Please use your child’s lunch number or permanent student identification number.

Password: The password is something that your child created here at school.

Don’t forget to check out specific magnet programs during their information nights - 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.

October 3 – South River High, Science Technology Engineering Math (STEM) Program

October 9 – Annapolis High, Performing Visual Arts (PVA)

October 14 – Broadneck High, Performing Visual Arts (PVA)

October 16 – Annapolis High, IB Diploma Programme/Middle Years Programme (IB MYP/DP)

October 23 – Glen Burnie High, Bio Medical Allied Health (BMAH)

November 6 – Center of Applied Technology South (CAT South) *6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

· All students interested in continuing with the IB Diploma Programme at Annapolis High must apply as an 8th grader. 9th and 10th graders at Annapolis High are automatically in the IB MYP just like we have all 6th, 7th and 8th graders in MYP here at Annapolis Middle School. However, if your child wants to be in the IB Diploma Programme as an 11th and 12 th grader, he/she must apply now!

· PVA Programs at Annapolis High: Theater, Dance, Film, Technical Productions, Arts Management, Creative Writing, Visual Arts (2-D, 3-D and Digital Media)

· PVA Programs at Broadneck High: Vocal, Instrumental, Guitar
