Anne Arundel County Public Schools’ Office of School and Family Partnership in conjunction with the Early Childhood Coalition of Anne Arundel County and the Military Family School Support Initiative will host a Family Involvement Conference on Saturday, March 8 at Old Mill High School.
Parents and educators are invited to attend the conference where they will find information and resources to support student readiness and enhance student achievement.
The theme of this spring’s conference is “Passport to Success.” Interim Superintendent Mamie J. Perkins will join participants for breakfast, and Shauna King will deliver the keynote address titled “Jack’s Brain, Jill’s Brain.”
The event runs from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Participants can select from two one-hour workshops from a list of 12. Sample topics include:
Finding the Magic in Behavior Management;
College and Career Workshop;
Read To Me, Tuck Me In;
Time Management and Organization;
Kids Serve, Too!; and
Resources for Families with Children with Special Needs.
