The Annapolis Middle School Parent Teacher Student Association advocates for our school and helps to provide our students and teachers with the resources and enrichment activities they need to excel. We encourage you to join us as we work to make Annapolis Middle the best school it can be!
Did you drive past AMS on Forest Drive this weekend? Did you notice how much better it looks?! SOFO (South Forest Drive Business Association) arranged a second AMS fence clean up this past Saturday morning. Leaves and debris were cleared all the way up to Bowen’s station.
I would like to send a special thanks to Corey Childs, whom arranged for his soccer clubs to be part of the clean up. We had volunteers from the St. Mary’s soccer team and the AMS Soccer and Mentoring Program (through Annapolis Soccer Club). Those kids worked very hard.
Would you like to be part of a clean up at AMS? We’re starting to plan now to clean up our front planters and interior courtyards. Contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up to help.

Thank you to all the parents, teachers and students who have joined the AMS PTSA for the 2017-2018 school year! We currently have 220 members, which includes 112 parents, 57 teachers and 51 students. This is a fantastic start… but we have over 1000 students at AMS and would like to see more of our students and families represented.
If you haven’t joined yet, there is still time. Your membership will help our school in many ways. Your membership fee ($10 for individuals or $25 for families) helps get our programs off the ground at the start of the year. As a member, you may vote on the PTSA budget and have a say in how funds are used. Most important, your membership shows AACPS leaders and administrators that AMS has an active group of parents, students and teachers who are committed to the school’s success and ready to advocate for it.
