I hope everyone got a chance to go to the AMS presentation of Shrek the Musical Jr. last Friday and Saturday. Many students and AMS staff members worked very hard for several months and it certainly showed. Congrats!
With that in mind… I wanted to remind parents that Teacher/Staff Appreciation week is coming very soon, May 7th – May 11th. Our Teacher Appreciation Chair Christina Herring has items planned each day to thank our staff for all their hard work through the year. However, I am appealing to parents and students to send a personal note or small item in to show appreciation that week. Does your student’s math teacher LOVE coffee? Does your student’s language arts teacher have any spare pencils left? Does any teacher have any tissues left? Even small items can make a big difference.
Also, watch the Blast to volunteer to help plant new items in the front planters. We cleared out a lot of dead and over-grown items last fall and its almost time to put new items in.
